Just Imagine...
if your church had “generosity” as a core value - giving freely of their time, talent and treasure... individuals and families, having learned to be good managers of what God has given them, minimizing their debt so that they can maximize their giving... stepping up to new opportunities to serve God, each other and the community - just imagine a church set free from the bondage of greed and the joy that would overflow from that church! You don’t have to imagine. That kind of church exists!
About the summit
The Summit is a training to help leaders create a culture of generous giving in their churches. This summit was originally created through the partnership of Generous Giving, Andy Stanley and the BGC. It was piloted in February 2007 with 100 of the top BGC pastors and leaders at North Point Church in Alpharetta, Georgia. The response to the summit was overwhelmingly positive.
The first half of the summit is strongly video-driven, with speakers Bob Coy, Randy Pope and Andy Stanley, plus significant roundtable interaction by participants. The second half looks more like a strategic planning session in which the participants take the principles they have learned and apply them to their churches.
The Generosity Summit …
is a gathering of church leaders to explore a journey to authentic generosity. It features great teaching and personal testimonies from other church leaders who are attempting to create cultures of financial faithfulness and generosity in their lives and in their churches.
This is a team event!
Our desire is for you to bring a team of eight people that include a good mix of staff and lay people. They should be like-minded and have a heart for seeing generosity of time, talent and treasure become a core value at your church. Your team should be those who can carry out any vision for improvement that God may give you at the event.
Isn’t it time generosity was unleashed in your church?
The Summit will encourage you, empower you and equip you to lead your congregation to become generous with their time, talent and treasure. The Summit is more than theory, it is learning from and leveraging the expertise of some of our country’s leading pastors. Leaders will be presenting both in person and by video.
